November 2012 Trade and Cultural Mission to Vietnam
Mission Goals: The mission’s primary goal is to gain first-hand market information and provide access to key government officials and potential business partners in Vietnam. The mission aims to increase business, legal, and cultural opportunities for Washington companies and organizations in these growing markets.
Why Attend This Mission? Vietnam has emerged as one of Asia’s most dynamic economies and wealth has risen quickly enough that they can now afford many more Washington products. This Mission will open doors to key government and business contacts in Vietnam and give Washington companies a solid basis for starting or expanding their business with Vietnam. This is a very cost effective way to connect with new business partners and see first-hand the size/scope of the awaiting market opportunities.
Mission Summary: This 10-day mission is organized by the Seattle Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and the World Trade Center Tacoma. Some business delegates might split off briefly from the main group to have individual meetings with potential trade or investment partners, depending on the interests of individual participants.
The program in Vietnam will include commercial briefings, cultural trips, factory visits and receptions at government agencies with several opportunities to interact with local officials and business leaders. Also included will be time for sightseeing and relaxing. This mission is especially suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises with little or no previous knowledge of Vietnam. The group size will be no more than 30 people.
Mission Timetable: The mission will depart from Sea-Tac Airport on Friday, November 9, 2012 and return to Seattle via Seoul on Monday November 19, 2012. Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Saigon and Mui Ne will be visited in Vietnam.
Mission Price: This all-inclusive, 10-day mission is priced at $2,895 double occupancy (or $3,795 single occupancy). An annual membership to WTC Tacoma or SVCC is included in that price. Those who are already corporate members can receive up to a $250 price reduction.
The price includes:
- Economy class airfare
- Nine nights in premier hotels
- Meals as outlined in detailed itinerary
- Local transportation in Vietnam
- Any admission tickets and airport departure taxes
- Shared presents and printed materials
The price does not include:
- Personal incidentals
- Presents you may elect to bring to or from the United States
- Travel insurance and vaccines
- Vietnamese visa ($75)
- Any flight upgrades or changes requested by the participant
- Any transportation separate from the main group for individual meetings
