Created by Pierce County citizens in 1918, the Port has 2,400 acres (972 hectares) that are used for shipping terminal activity and warehouse, distributing, and manufacturing.

Economic Development Board for Tacoma-Pierce County
The Economic Development Board for Tacoma-Pierce County is a private, non-profit corporation established in 1978 as a partnership between private business and the public sector to encourage economic development in Tacoma-Pierce County. The EDB’s Mission is to increase the quality and number of jobs as well as capital investment within the county. Their website includes job opportunities, community reports, demographic, population and community information.

The Puyallup/Sumner Chamber of Commerce
The Puyallup/Sumner Chamber of Commerce is the business advocate for Eastern Pierce County that provides effective leadership creating an optimum environment for business and community development. The website provides tourist information, business information, and member activities.
