If you are interested in Importing or Exporting, there are a variety of resources that can be of help. The Trade Resources section, as a whole, is dedicated to the broad set of resources that ‘trading’ entails. This particular section is more focused on the specifics of importing and exporting – call it Import/Export 101. A critical site for anyone looking to trade in and out of the US is the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Agency. Specifically, their CBP Trade Spotlight provides important information on requirements, legal decisions, trade related issues and governmental programs.

Washington Department of Commerce
The Washington Export Initiative is launching a new outreach effort targeted to small and medium sized business to encourage companies to develop new international markets and customer bases. Governor Gregoire launched the Washington Export Initiative in June 2011 and set ambitious goals to increase the number of companies exporting as well as to increase the total export sales out of Washington. This campaign is designed to build momentum to deliver on the 5-year goals.
The campaign kicks off with four web-based media profiles of best-in-class Washington exporters, all available on the Washington State YouTube channel and via the Export Washington website.
U.S. SBA
The U.S. Small Business Administration, Inc. and AT&T have partnered to provide video success stories from small business exporters and interviews with expert trade specialists. We believe this is a very valuable resource to any company looking to take their business abroad. Click here for the video series and additional helpful information.
